The future was on display this week at the Frankfurt Book Fair, which ended on Sunday. E-books and digital publishing are taking over the printing world, and traditional publishers are scrambling to adapt.

    I thought this was interesting, but what I would have been even more intrigued by is a discussion about how traditional publishers are dealing with the arrival of digital books, not ebooks, but the ability for authors to publish their own works online. And heck, wouldn’t it be cheaper for Random House to print on demand as opposed to remainder sales?
